The Data Security function is accountable for the delivery of Data Security Services, this includes Web Proxy, Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker, and Microsoft Information Protection. We provide these as a service globally to all member firms in the Deloitte Network. We work closely with the other security functions to integrate solutions for a true defense in depth method of protection from external and internal threats to Deloitte data.

What is the challenge? 

The Data Security Engineer is responsible for:  

• Maintaining and enhancing the data protection technologies including architecting new solutions while understanding the available market of security solutions. 
• Providing level 3 technical support to the member firms on multiple platforms including Windows/Linux/MacOS.
• Work directly with vendors to solve complex problems, architect new solutions, and develop automation for existing processes.
• Ability to understand and build API’s using Python or other programming languages.
• Assisting the Data Security Enablement (support) team by providing training for new solutions and features to both the Data Security teams and the Deloitte firm IT personnel. 
• Collaboration with the Data Security Technologies team for QA testing and deployment of new agents.

How do we Imagine you? 

• Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in data protection technologies(Secure Web Gateway, CASB, Data Loss Prevention, and Data Classification).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in building API’s using Python or other major programming languages required.
  • Experience in troubleshooting networking (including VPN and WAN technologies) and Windows/MacOS/Linux operating systems required.
  • Experience in computer, network, and data security best practices.
  • Experience in administering Netskope SWG/CASB, Symantec DLP, Microsoft AIP.
