Job Summary
Β
Assists the Afterschool Program Coordinator in the management of afterschool program data including collection and management, participant registration, enrollment, attendance, annual surveys, reports.Β Assists with additional tasks as assigned by Coordinator in the relation to overall program planning and day to day operations of the afterschool program.

Minimum Qualifications
Β
Equivalent of six months of part-time work experience (720 hours) in a field closely related to Afterschool and/or Youth Programming or 12 credit hours from an accredited school or university in a related field.
Β
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

Salt Lake County Youth Services provides support to schools and families through Afterschool Programs, Summer Programming, and Parental Support. Our programs are offered on site at schools located in Kearns, Magna, West Valley City, and Millcreek. Our goals are to keep kids safe, provide healthy adult role models, teach new skills, and give youth confidence in themselves through a variety of activities including academic support, dance, arts, sports, service projects throughout the community, and off-site field trips. These goals are achieved by working closely with school administration and ensuring our staff are active participants in helping to make positive changes within the communities served.

What We Need from You
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

Work Location:
Various schools in Kearns, Magna, and West Valley
Schedule: Monday β Friday, afternoons, 20-28 hours per week, which includes 3+ hours in program plus planning, prep time and data entry. Times and days worked varies based on location and follows a school year calendar. Summer hours are M-TH from about 9am-4pm, plus prep and planning time for about 28 hours a week for our week program.Β You will have about 4 weeks off in mid July- mid August.
