$22.90 - $34.35JOB SUMMARY
Under departmental direction, the data collector coordinates activities to support the Head Kinematics in Sports Study. Provides assistance to an established research team by collecting data, keeping records, analyzing data, and preparing reports.โฏDevelops and maintains recordkeeping systems and procedures to ensure compliance with study protocols and all appropriate regulations. Visit data collection sites as needed to perform activities including, but not limited to: assist the research team with recruitment activities (screen and consent), administer questionnaires, collecting kinematic data, and answer any questions about the research study.ย Responsible for the compilation, registration and submission of data, as required by the Sponsor.ย Travel is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Education, or Public Health; or, an equivalent combination of experience and education including training in research methodology, computerized data processing, and/or interviewing techniques.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION
Must complete the CITI certification for Human Subject Research if not already completed.ย All additional required WakeOne training for research coordinators.ย

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsย
Excellent reading comprehensionย
Strong organizational skillsย
Outgoing, professional, persistent, and familiar and open to working in the hospital environmentย
Familiar with data collection tools (i.e., RedCap) and experienced with Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and Wordย
A background in nursing, engineering or other health-related fieldย
Comfortable communicating with physicians, engineers, coaches, team owners, etc.ย
A person that practices with a critical thinking approach and is not afraid to point out to a superior (senior engineer) that something doesnโt look rightย
Willing to perform data entry tasks over long periods of time during the dayย
