Description

We are seeking a Datawarehouse/Data platform Lead Architect, who is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously evolving robust, secure, and scalable solution architectures within the Maritime Production and integration platform landscape.

The role ensures the reliable delivery and management of high‑quality data to support advanced analytics, AI services, and data‑driven business solutions. Acting as a key bridge between business and technology, the Lead Architect translates complex business requirements into clear, future‑proof technical designs while ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, architectural standards, and long‑term organizational objectives.

Acting as both architectural authority and trusted advisor, the Lead Architect drives best practices in solution design, quality, security, and delivery, while supporting agile execution and operational excellence across an international, cross‑functional environment.

You will be part of the Performance Management Maritime team, providing business intelligence information to support the operation units world-wide in reaching their strategic goals. The team supports a range of activities, including innovating and developing strategic measurements, maintaining the available standard reports, providing easily accessible fact-based information to all levels of users, and thus creating a line of sight between high-level strategic ambitions and the managements and employees’ individual actions and goals. Acting as a central resource hub for all service lines within Business Area Maritime, the team also enables and supports data-driven and AI-based solutions across the organization.

This role will be based at DNV’s Gdynia office. The ideal candidate will work hand-in-glove with colleagues in our community of Business Intelligence specialists, Data Scientists and Software Engineers.

The role reports to the Head of Performance Management Maritime.

Your responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into end‑to‑end solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and product roadmaps.
  • Act as architectural lead for Maritime Production and integration solutions, ensuring high quality, performance, and maintainability.

  • Provide technical input during release planning, testing, and execution.

  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place for access management, system security, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive improvements in development processes, delivery mechanisms, and cross‑team collaboration through standardisation and automation.
  • Facilitate clear communication between business and IT, ensuring transparency, timely issue resolution, and aligned expectations.
