Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist at Zonos, you will be integral to developing and implementing data-driven solutions that improve global e-commerce. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create machine learning models, perform data analysis, and translate business needs into actionable insights. This role will focus on advanced analytics and problem-solving to enhance the cross-border trade experience for businesses and consumers. As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll apply your expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis to drive innovation within the company.

• Design and implement machine learning models and analytics to solve business problems and improve customer experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities for enhancing global trade.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring reliable data for analysis and model development.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for the business.
• Develop forecasting, recommendation, and optimization models to improve business outcomes.
• Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data science and machine learning to bring new ideas to the team.

What you bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, along with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
• Experience working with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) to build and deploy models.
• Strong understanding of statistical techniques and data analysis methods (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis).
• Experience with large datasets and data pipelines, using tools like SQL, Spark, or cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• A proactive and self-driven approach to working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What we offer:

• $130k to $170k+ Actual salaries will vary based on various factors such as education, experience, training, scope, etc. The salary noted is just one component of our total compensation package.
