POSITION SUMMARY
The Philadelphia Eagles, in conjunction with the Eagles Autism Foundation and Eagles Charitable Foundation, is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, organized, and mission driven Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will support the financial operation of both charitable organizations. This role will work closely with the Eagles finance team and the Foundation development team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and stewardship of resources that support our philanthropic mission. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, accuracy and the ability to communicate clearly are important qualifications for this position.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Charitable Foundations Accountant will report to the Vice President of Accounting & Finance.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform timely monthly reconciliations for all accounts for both Foundations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition and tracking of nonprofit revenues in accordance with GAAP including contributions, grants, sponsorships, and event-related income.
- Maintain compliance with donor restrictions and reporting requirements and collaborate with development and program teams to align financial reporting with fundraising activities.
- Oversee all financial activity for the companyβs charitable foundations. This includes recording cash donations, invoicing sponsors, posting and paying AP bills, and conducting periodic reconciliations of all accounts, with an emphasis on balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition of grants payable in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with grant award tracking, reporting and compliance.
- Analyze and monitor related party transactions with the Philadelphia Eagles and Eagles Stadium Operator organizations to ensure transparency, compliance, and proper financial reporting. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to document and understand the nature, terms, and financial impact of the transactions, ensuring alignment with nonprofit accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Manage all contribution receivables and ensure timely collection
- Prepare documentation for annual audits and tax reporting; liaise with external auditors and tax accountants
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls
- Support financial aspects of the Foundationβs fundraising events, including attending events
- Develop and assist with process improvements, system enhancements and operational activities
- Will be required to work all home football games and assist with any other general accounting needs or other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Accounting or relevant field required
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience required
- Accounting experience in a nonprofit environment or working with nonprofit financials required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting including revenue recognition and grantmaking activities
- Proficiency in using Sage Intacct, Microsoft Excel, and digital fundraising tools such as Haku and similar platforms is preferred
- Comfortable adopting and implementing digital tools to improve accuracy, speed, and effectiveness of financial processes
- Keen attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized
- Demonstrate proper discretion in dealing with sensitive and highly confidential information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates initiative, anticipates and prepares for what is coming
- Flexible schedule with the ability and willingness to work some holidays or weekends
