The Team & Focus of the Role

Our Development Team is growing! We’re on the lookout for a data-curious, insight-driven Data Analyst to join the adventure!

​

We’re enhancing our software development processes, streamlining delivery, and bringing more structure to how we work. As a regulated business and proud member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, quality matters to us, but so does finding smarter, more enjoyable ways to improve.

​

As we adopt new systems and boost our business intelligence capabilities, we’re expanding the team to keep pace with the exciting challenges ahead. You’ll work alongside our DBA/Data Engineer to map data from source to destination and collaborate with our change team to shape data requirements for new applications and services.

This role will be based in Ashby, and although we do operate a hybrid working policy, it’s essential that you’re able to commute to Ashby weekly. Our standard hours are 08:45am – 5:15pm (37.5 hours), however we’d be open to discussing flexible working requirements with minimum working hours of 30 per week.

Duties will include:

​

• Translate informal user needs into well-defined, documented data requirements and specifications.
• Support data governance processes, including metadata tagging, ownership identification, and maintaining clear data lineage.
• Collaborate with the DBA/Data Engineer to design and build ETL pipelines that bring data from source systems into the warehouse, ensuring centralised and reliable access for users.
• Work alongside software developers to understand data-modelling needs and contribute to the creation of robust, scalable systems.
• Assist with ongoing reporting needs for both the business and our clients.

The successful candidate will have...

​

• Solid understanding of data governance and industry best practices, particularly in relation to ISO27001.
• Excellent communicator who collaborates well across teams and the wider business, with strong documentation skills and the ability to clearly present their work.
• Comfortable working with a range of database technologies — including relational databases (SQL), NoSQL systems, REST APIs, and even spreadsheets.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and building reliable, well-structured data pipelines through scripting.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Experience using business intelligence tools (such as Power BI) to transform data into meaningful insights.
• A relevant qualification is desirable.
